TeachSpecialEd.com is an Internet-based program developed for use as a part of special education certification, as well as for ongoing professional development. It is designed for those who are preparing to teach-or are currently teaching-students with mild and moderate disabilities.

TeachSpecialEd.com offers two enrollment options:

   1. A comprehensive ten-course curriculum, or
   2. Individual courses.

The result of a partnership between Sopris West Educational Services and e-Learning Creations, TeachSpecialEd.com courses are based on the Council for Exceptional Children´s and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education´s standards for special education certification.

The core content of TeachSpecialEd.com was developed, evaluated, and accepted by panels of national experts as a part of the Online Academy project at the University of Kansas to reflect a variety of research-based practices. The result is a content-rich, standards-based program offered through user-friendly, thoroughly tested, online instruction.

TeachSpecialEd.com brings special education certification and ongoing professional development within reach, assuring both prospective and current special educators sound, proven, and practical training.
