Welcome to the website for Exceptional Children in Today´s Schools: What Teachers Need to Know.

In developing this site we have made special efforts to ensure that it not only extends the resources of the book but also transforms them into an instructional model. The intent is to create a site that is seamless with the book while at the same time being interactive. For example, it gives you access to many of the features you would normally encounter in a class where the instructor creates experiences that assist you in understanding the content and generalizing it through real-life applications.

As you are about to find out, the site offers you numerous special features. It is user friendly using a variety of navigation tools that allow you to move back and forth among features at any time. Universal curriculum design principles have been employed in creating two versions of each chapter on the website: a multimedia version and a text version. The content in both is identical to the content in the book. In the text version, you are introduced to icons that allow you to instantaneously access the outline, glossary, notes, assessments, reflective questions and case studies. The multimedia version allows you to listen to and view an illustrated audio presentation of the chapter. An added feature of the website is that it allows you to copy in electronic or hard-copy form any of the resources for your personal records.
