STUDENT PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT - One Position Available

Duties:
The successful applicant will work with programmers, web developers and other designers in developing media for national educational initiatives  (see: http://elearndesign.org).  Duties include the development of graphic designs for web user interfaces and instructional illustrations for a variety of educational products.   This job is product oriented and requires someone who is highly reliable, dependable and able to meet production deadlines.  Depending on experience, these duties may also include some supervisory responsibilities..

Required Qualifications:

  1. Strong proficiency in the PC or Macintosh environment.
  2. Demonstrated skill in illustration and design using applications such as: Quark, PageMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, ImageReady, etc.
  3. Demonstrated skill in design, development and production of web sites, CD-ROMs, brochures, logos, or other print and electronic formats.
  4. Demonstrated skill in human-computer interface design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Completion of advertising and/or marketing courses.
  2. Programming experience using Macromedia Flash, Director, etc.
  3. Experience in WWW design and HTML programming.
  4. Previous supervisory experience.
  5. Completion of (or equivalent skills taught in) upper level design courses.
